What is ITIL?

ITIL stands for Information Technology Library and is a globally recognised series of best practices for IT service management. ITIL was created by the UK government and has been adopted by corporate enterprises world wide as practical measures in running an IT department and aligning IT to meet organisational objectives. Why implement ITIL process?

IT today is accepted as a key element of a businesses strategy and businesses operation and is represented at the board level and with practices enforced though law and compliance regulations.

Apologies for any delay in sending this e-mail to you.

My marketing staff were in contact with you regarding WCT’s IT advisory service and promised to send you some information, however I wanted to introduce myself via e-mail and explain what we do.

WCT IT Advisory Service is a Thai company which provides the end user with a free vendor search service whereby the end user can submit a project requirement to us and we provide them with a select few vendors that can meet their requirement. We then introduce the vendors or simply provide the end user with the vendor contact details.

Outside providing selected vendors, the end user can be confident that we have qualified the vendor with regard their certification (if required), experience and skill sets as well as checked references.

I have been working in IT over the past 21 years in Thailand and at director level for 15 years in the region managing projects and taking care of sales, marketing and channel development. Last year I decided to focus my business on what I enjoy and have been planning for a number of years, an advisory role, with a focus on marketing and serving the organizational end user and IT vendor space.

Our acceptance from end users and vendors has been exceptional and we are currently working with end user organizations and vendors thought South East Asia. Present projects range from Web site development, Investor relations software, software development, system integration, security, ERP systems etc. Have a look at our Enquiry Form.

The key motivator was that organizations did not know who to believe or speak to about specific fields /requirements and there was no managed or formal qualification service of vendors or for that matter end users. Hence the basis of my business.

I have attached a document that describe what we offer the vendor in a little more detail, but as a brief please see below:

1. We develop leads, access and qualify the leads, and distribute a brief of the client requirements to suitable vendors who can meet the clients requirements. If they show interest we will forward them the full client requirements.

2. We will only deal with clients who are serious and not time wasters and who have documented requirements and a budget in mind.

3. We provide consulting opportunities where a company may not want to bid for a project, but have the expertise to consult to an organisation.

4. We bring different vendors together to form a consortium to bid for large projects.

5. We introduce vendors to each other when they need a reliable subcontractor.

6. We act as an independent 3rd party between the end user and vendor to ensure a smooth relationship. This allows the vendor to focus on IT and WCT to resolve any misunderstandings.

7. We offer online training to vendors, at a preferred rates. For example ITIL training (see www.itilthailand.com)

8. We provide a promotional tool for your products.

9. You can use our partner logo on your website to differentiate yourself.

What does it cost you? Nothing

1. Confirm you are interested in being listed as a vendor.

2. Pay a 5000 Baht registration fee. This will be waivered due to our past contact.

3. Complete the vendor registration form – we will provide you a password.

4. E-mail a company profile.

5. WCT will charge a % of the project you are awarded. Once we have proven our value you will have the option to change to a subscription.

As you can see there is nothing to lose and everything to gain.
